Manchester United into the FA Cup Semi finals. Ighalo extend scoring form


Manchester United booked a place in the Emirates FA cup Semi finals on saturday evening by overcoming Norwich City 2-1 after extra time.

Manchester United needed an extra 30 minutes after the 90 to beat Norwich for place in th FA cup semi finals.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer made eight changes to the Manchester United side that eased pass Sheffield United 3-0 on Wednesday. Romero replaced David De Gea on goal, while Dalot and Bailly replaced Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof. Pogba and Matic are given a rest from duty in midfield allowing the pairing of McTominay and Fred to shield the defence instead. Mata and Lingard came in for Greenwood and Rashford on the right and left wings. Finally Odion Ighalo led the attack in place of Martial.

United were the better side of the two sides though they bearly threatened the opposition goal. The first half ended with the score 0-0.

Ighalo opened the score in the 51st Minute with United''s first shot on target. Luke Shaw cross was struggled for by Norwich defenders and Mata with the later making a slite touch of the ball to Ighalo - who made no mistake by finishing easily high into the net.

Norwich got their eqaulizer in the 75th minute. Hernandez combined with Buendia in midfield, before the ball is squared to Cantwell who smashed a low drive pass Romero.

Timm Klose was shown a red card after bringing down Ighalo who was through on goal.

Manchester United began to threatened more on goal and also making lots of attacking changes.

They finally got the winning goal through Harry Maguire in the 118th minute from Pogba''s chipped pass which sent them into the semi finals.
